Contemporary online educationcan be challenging, yet fascinating as a process of re-shaping teaching and learning. ProeLang - run by the teachers, who on an every day’s basis practise the traditional teaching based on direct contact – resulted from the need to offer students alternative, fully independent materials for self-learning. The ProeLang website, under development, tries to follow contemporary directives to include within the idea of online learning and teaching, such as social networking sites, mobile technology, blogs or wikis, open educational resources, virtual worlds, such as Second Life, online tools or courses, social media, e.g. micro-blogging (e.g. Facebook) and also student-generated digital content.
